Appraiser and consultant with specialty knowledge in 18th, 19th & 20th century American, British and European antiques, decorative, and fine arts.  Professional art and antiques research and cataloguing services for appraisers, auction houses, museums and individual collectors.

Julien’s Auctions, Los Angeles, Independent Consultant (2007-Current)

Consulting specialist providing cataloguing, research and auction estimates for antiques, decorative & fine arts, furnishings and residential contents for auction house specializing in celebrity property.  Celebrity auction projects to date include property of Barbra Streisand, Michael Jackson, Bob Hope, Mary Pickford, and the Osbournes.

Laguna Art Museum, Peter Blake Gallery, Newport Beach Public Library (1993-2003)

Acted in various capacities as an art librarian, art researcher, and art gallery assistant on a part time basis for these museum, art and library organizations.

Getty Center for the History of Art, Santa Monica, Special Collections Assistant (1991-93)

Researched and valued rare books, manuscripts and archives offered to the Getty Center.  Assisted with exhibitions and loans of Getty special collections materials.   Assisted visiting scholars with research queries.  Catalogued Bern Porter collection of ephemera.  At Getty Conservation Institute, conserved and properly prepared materials for continued handling.

Wildenstein &. Co., New York, Art Researcher (1988-1991)

Researched and valued art works purchased and sold by international art gallery.  Investigated subject matter, provenance, and authenticity of major Old Master and Impressionist paintings, antiques and decorative arts.  Researched and bid on works of art and antiques offered at auction houses.  Tracked art market, auction pricing and movement of works of art and antiques among international galleries, dealers and auction houses for possible acquisition.  Maintained and compiled records for publication of catalogue raisonnés on various artists published by the Wildenstein Institute.   Helped maintain the largest private art library in the United States, with holdings of books, periodicals, exhibition and sales catalogues, private collector information, photo archives, and inventory files dating back to the 18th Century.
