Services:

People seek written appraisals for some of the following reasons: insurance coverage, insurance claims, estate settlement, or charitable contribution. Consultation services are useful for equitable distribution, purchase advisory, contemplated sale, or just curiosity about the value of items.  I get many calls from people who have recently inheirited items and want a consultation to determine what they have, what to keep, and what their best options are for selling the remaining pieces. 

Research and cataloguing services benefit appraisers, auction houses, museums, dealers and collectors.  Professional research training produces more efficient and successful results. 

Fees:

Appraisal fees are charged by hourly rate for onsite examination, offsite research, analysis, report writing, telephone, and email.  Outside expert fees (if deemed necessary), travel time, document production, and postage are charged separately.

Fees for research, cataloguing, and consulting services are charged by the hour or by the project.
